The Logic & Theory
A webhook is an automated way for one application to send data to another. When an alert condition is met on a TradingView chart, a webhook can send a message, often in JSON format, with details such as the ticker, the price and the action to an external address. Trading bots, Discord and Telegram channels can read this message and act on it. Because the message is sent automatically, you do not have to watch the chart yourself. A webhook only forwards the alert, so the result still depends on the alert condition behind it.
